What is a Boundary?

Boundaries are hindrances that you face daily while programming in PICK basic that prevent you from getting things done. Some of these boundaries you put up with daily, whittling away at the time you have for other projects or personal time.

Others are more dramatic – such as projects that you could do with mvToolbox in minutes that would take you days or even weeks to complete otherwise!

  • Software utility boundaries:
While you are “in” one program, you are locked “out” of every other program, every other program file, and every other data file in the system. Even when you are in a particular function or utility, that function is also a defacto boundary! Click here for an example of the mvToolbox solution.

  • Repetitive step boundaries:
Multiple keystrokes that are done over and over again, as in searching lines of code for character strings takes time and patience. Click here for an example of the mvToolbox solution.

  • Boundaries caused by too many programs or files:
Too many programs, especially when finding a fix is urgent, can really present a challenge when you need to locate something quickly. mvToolbox allows you to grab huge amounts of information from multiple files and then allow you to drill down to specific information. Locate in minutes what may take you hours, days or weeks to do. Click here for an example.
