You have two files. One contains over 600 programs and the other has over 400 programs. The code has been worked on by many programmers over the years. Each programmer had different naming conventions for the same variable. You have isolated 15 variable names and have to search in the two files (1,000 programs) for these 15 variable names. Currently, this involves multiple searches and repetitive passes through programs to visually identify programs of interest.

mvToolbox can include lists of search strings in its very powerful search routines as shown below. In the following example mvToolbox is not only searching through 1,000 programs in two files, but is also searching for a list of 15 variables in each of these programs!
